Our goal is to provide appropriate, affordable dental treatment and oral health promotion for patients of all ages, in a caring and supportive manner, while maintaining the highest standards of patient centered technical excellence.
Our assistants, hygienists and front desk staff work together as a team to create a professional, comfortable and pleasant environment.
Our office provides general dental treatment for the entire family. The most common preventable dental disease is dental caries or decay. The second most common problem is periodontal disease or gum infection. These are both caused by the presence of plaque or debris on your teeth and gums.
We are proud of our hygiene team that provides our patients with the proper oral hygiene instructions needed to maintain healthy teeth and gums. We recommend patients visit their hygienist a minimum of every six months. At your six month visit, you can expect a complete dental examination including oral cancer screening in addition to a cleaning. Radiographs (x-rays) may also be taken since they are crucial in the diagnosis of oral disease.
During your exam, Dr. Moriarty or Dr. Berty will record an individualized treatment plan for you explaining what procedures are necessary or suggested for your teeth and gums. The doctor will explain her findings by examining your teeth and gums as well as reviewing your x-rays and then explain in detail the procedures necessary. Because we are a general dental practice, there may be times that we recommend specialists that have graduate training in other areas of dentistry.
On your treatment plan, you can expect to see the procedure needed, the fee, an approximate amount of what your dental plan will cover as well as the amount that you will pay on the day service is rendered. If you have dental insurance coverage, our front desk team will be happy to send a pre-treatment estimate for any major work such as crown and bridge, dentures or partials. Our front desk staff can set up your appointments and go over any question you may have.

Our services include cleanings, exams, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, root planing and scaling, root canal therapy, composite (tooth colored) and amalgam restorations, bonding, crown and bridge, implant crowns, veneers, dentures, partials, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) evaluation and treatment, bleaching, sport and night guards. We also provide our patients with 24 hour emergency care.
In addition to comprehensive restorative services, we provide for the esthetic needs of our patients including bleaching, veneers, bonding and the use of tooth colored materials.
Patients of all ages, especially children, love to visit our office to see our 150 gallon salt water fish tank filled with colorful tropical fish. You can bring your favorite video to watch or bring your walkman to listen to your relaxation tape during your visit. We understand that for some, going to the dentist can be difficult. Our staff will support you and make your visit as pleasant as possible. We also understand that children need extra special attention and that is why our staff explains each step of the procedure as well as showing them the instruments and equipment that will be used during the procedure. We like to see children for their first dental visit at 3 years of age.
Our office requires a 24-hour notice if you must cancel your appointment to avoid a charge. When an appoinment is broken, it is costly to us and often difficult to reschedule with short notice.
We accept assignment of dental insurance and as a courtesy to our patients we file insurance claims electronically. Since there are so many different insurance plans, please check with us to be sure we accept your plan. It is important to remember that every dental plan is different and that insurance rarely if ever covers 100% of the cost. The benefits you have depend on the plan purchased by your employer. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have about your plan but in some cases it would be best to see your human resource manager or refer to your benefits booklet. A usual and customary percentage of your treatment or co-payment will be collected at the time of your visit. We ask that you provide us with accurate insurance information so that we can submit your claims.
